Purpose:

• to use as a collaborative planning tool
• to use as an annual and semester goal-setting tool
• to use as a system of accountability and transparency for staff and administration

To encourage and develop 21st century literacy skillsin our collective (student and staff) learning community:

Focus:

1. To improve the quality and range of library & media centre services, policies, procedures, and resources for both staff and students
2. To teach and foster responsible use and access to internet and media technology/web2.0 resources across the curriculum.
3. To teach and assist learners in becoming responsible digital citizens
4. To teach and assist learners in developing and using independent research and information search strategies
5. To create a distributed leadership model for technology use and expertise amongst staff
6. To create a host of differentiated learning resources for students and staff
7. To support and co-construct with staff the development of curricular resources and with teaching/co-teaching in applicable areas
8. To develop and assess an ongoing, long-term vision for educational technology hardware, software, and internet resources
